Martial Arts South Africa (MASA) is the official governing body for non-Olympic martial arts in South Africa, recognised by SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and
Olympic Committee). Our organisation serves as an umbrella body for a wide variety of martial arts styles, bringing together athletes, instructors, and clubs from across the country to foster unity and development within the martial arts community.
Purpose of MASA
Our primary purpose is to provide a unified platform that supports the growth of martial arts in South Africa, from recreational practice to elite competition. We ensure that all affiliated organisations and athletes are given the opportunity to compete fairly, train effectively, and represent South Africa on both local and international stages. MASA promotes the highest standards of excellence, respect, and integrity in martial arts
training and governance.
